Putting PPGs on the map
Have you ever wondered how many Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) are near you? Would you like to know more about the range of activities that PPGs undertake?
This map has been developed to answer those questions and to raise awareness of the 3000+ PPGs that are active across England (we aim to add Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to the map in the future)
If you are an existing PPG member, please use the map to find your practice to initiate a very simple registration process. When you find it, you will see that it has a Practice ID (normally a letter, which should be entered in lower case, and 5 numbers). You can then log in by entering that practice ID as both the user name and password. You will then be able to add details about your PPG and what it does. You can also update the details whenever you like to ensure that they are up to date.
Note that your PPG’s details will be available to others visiting the site, so they can find out more about the work your group does. A couple of Proud to have a Patient Participation Group stickers and a welcome letter will be sent direct to the practice of every PPG that registers.
If your practice does not currently have a PPG and you’d be interested in finding out how to set one up, visit the ‘Get Involved’ section of this website for guidance on how to get started.
